LA: working on a publication about low-wage Chinese workers, ESL class. Mike asked for a copy of the report.

March Conference Call Notes

Update:
Mike - Small group might go from Boston - including my son, and another young person we are working with at AARW. 
Discussing what to do with local APIMB in Boston - stepping up through AARW or keeping it as it is.
Mark - Question on people's mind is whether it's a broad gathering of Chinese community organizing group or not. Not as much as interest as before - Tammy Lu, left folks. 
Helena - came back from the GGJ membership assembly - spoke a little. Been on the emails initiated with Grace Lee Boggs.

November Conference Call notes

Stacy - AIWA, CPA

Helena - initially planning to go. Funding is a problem.

Mike - APIM Boston will have a retreat, CPA Boston is not planning to go.

Last Social Forum there was a social. Appreciate networking.

Network with brainstorming, bring back to each own groups, build inventory of groups, use the list.

Or should we propose ideas and try to provide leadership;

Hear people what they're doing, what API Movement should do. What they would plug into. Getting a sense of what are the issues Asians are working on.

Bay Area Good conversations - capacity issues, ACT documenting curriculum to run independently, reallocate resources

LA - Kimi left a week ago, over summer officially cosponsors SAT, 3 interns working with us - CPA SGV, how do we develop contact worker, limited language resources and no paid staff. leverage wide activist bases to recruit language resources, looking for ideas

Boston - immigration, ATI, AARW
