APIs Gather to Caravan for National Action in AZ for Immigrant Rights
API Bay Area API's are preparing to caravan to Arizona. This responds to a national call to action to mobilize people locally and to Arizona to oppose SB1070 on Saturday, May 29th, 2010. One of the main demands is that President Obama take immediate and concrete action to stop SB1070.
The API delegation is organizing a send-off press conference on Friday, May 28, 8:00 am. The location is still being determined.
There are also a number of other planned actions in the Bay Area including a protest rallies when the Arizona Diamond Backs baseball team and President Obama arrives in the bay area and other local rallies
