Koreatown Coalition wins Development Struggles
Korean Immigrant Workers Association, (KIWA), in coaliton with other Koreatown community groups has won a commitment from the City of Los Angeles and its Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA/LA) to build a public park, affordable housing, and a community center on Wilshire and Hobart.
The same coaltion has also won a community benefits agreement that an apartment project on Wilshire and Vermont that includes an agreement to build 96 units of affordable housing in Koreatown and a $1 million trust fund for the development of our community center.
